After being shut out of Ritter Springs in 1995, Mountain Bikers were looking for a venue to develop new trails. In 1996, the government donated the current 300-acre Springfield-Greene County city park which now offers over 8 miles of interconnecting single-track trail . Built solely by volunteers, it's popular with mountain bikers from beginner to advanced, and for hiking.
